˚.⋆꒰১ Video Games ໒꒱⋆.˚

Hey !

I've been playing video games for a really long time, so I'm writing this post to share some of my favorite games. I started on the 3DS with my very first games — drumroll — Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and Style Savvy: Trendsetters! From there, a lot of other games joined the collection, such as Cooking Mama, Hello Kitty, Picross, Professor Layton, and Miitopia. Later on, I got the Switch right at its release, starting with ACNH. Then came my dear Splatoon 2, a ton of other Switch games, and eventually PC games. Assassin's Creed Odyssey completely won my heart (don't worry, I'll talk about it later!). (๑>؂•̀๑)

There's something I love about 3DS games that I can't fully explain. First of all, this console allows you to play everywhere (I used to get grounded when I was younger for doing exactly that, lmao). There are also so many customization possibilities, both virtually (especially on a modded console with an infinite choice of games) and physically (when people add stickers and charms), which allows you to have a mega-cute console. I have to mention the nostalgia of it all, with games so full of memories. Honestly, the first time I revisited my childhood ACNL town, I cried. There's really something comforting about those games; it feels like eating roasted apples under a warm blanket with Alex G playing in the background.

Splatoon

As I mentioned before, I'm a huge Splatoon lover! I started with Splatoon 2 and got the Octo Expansion right after, simply because I wanted to play as an Octoling. Then, in 2023, I got Splatoon 3 — a year after its release — and guess what? I still had the exact same Octoling ponytail TuT. About a month ago, Raider came out, and I got it too, but sadly, the Octoling ponytail wasn't an option anymore. I've finished the story modes for both Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3. I'm really attached to these games, mainly because I grew up with them (I didn't play Splatoon 1 because we didn't have a Wii U
(ᵕ—ᴗ—). Fun fact: I actually met my online best friend on it, lmao!

Animal crossing

Uhhh, if you didn't understand anything, don't worry! I've spent countless hours on these games (725 hours on New Horizons, to be exact). Due to the pandemic, Animal Crossing was the game that everybody had, including me. During that period, I played with everyone: my friends, my cousins, and of course, my dad and my sister. You should know that Animal Crossing is THE game that saw me grow up. About six months ago, I totally restarted my island (I flattened everything, so it was just completely plain) and tried to build a city and cottagecore-themed island (so now, it's kind of split in half, lmao). So, if you want to visit it, here is my Dream Address
